Hello! ... Hope everyones well?
Apologies for not updating sooner...life has gone mad (when isn't it?) and we can't believe that we have just 1 week left until we take Amy to Qingdao in China for treatment that we hope will improve her life xXx
As you can imagine there has been alot of preperation to do, i don't think all the preparing in the world is going to make us ready for this... but it is happening thanks to you guys!
Before we go, and just in case we run out of time, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you once again for your support over the last 8 months.
Its been an amazing experience for us as a family. Meeting new people and receiving their kindness all for our little girl has been overwhelming.
We will, of course, keep you informed on how Amy is doing on 'Amy's China Blog' as much as we can.
Until next time, take care & bye for now :-D |
Hi again!!!
Please note that we have now reached £30,000!!!
...And so no longer require any more donations and have STOPPED fundraising.
Originally the target was £35,000 due to the times when we began our Appeal back in March. Since then we realised that £30,000 would be sufficient to cover Amys treatment and are extremely happy to of reached this within 7 months.
The treatment and flights etc are now BOOKED.
Thanks so much to everyone who has taken Amy into their hearts and shown so much kindness and we look forward to keeping you updated with our journey to China and most importantly any progress Amy makes which can be seen on this website under 'China'
We can now only await our trip which is only 5 weeks away and hope and wish for amazing results to happen for our beautiful little girl xxx
Thank you for being here with us through Amy's journey so far... X

A quick update to let you know that we raised a wonderful £555 at the Kids Kingdom event, and would like to say a BIG THANKS to all the staff and to Michelle and Kerry for their support and efforts. It was very kind of them to do 'Amy Day' for our appeal.
Also more thanks to the Green Room Lodge Benevolent for another donation, this time for a fantastic £1,000!!!

BIG NEWS FOR EVERYONE!!!
We are sooooooooooo happy to let you know that we have BOOKED AMYS TREATMENT in China!!!!
We will be arriving in Qingdao in the Shandong Province on the 9th November and leaving to come home on the 13th December!!!
We still cannot believe it has been possible to raise the funds we needed before Christmas and have so many people to thank for this wonderful opportunity to hopefully give our gorgeous daughter Amy Hana a better quality of life.
We are just about there with fundraising now.... we still have a few more events coming up and some funds due in which should cover our flights and living expenses being in China for 35 days and we PROMISE that if we have any funds remaining after Amys treatment it will go to VERY GOOD CAUSES and we will inform you of them also.
WE DON'T WANT TO GO ALL SOPPY, (well maybe just a little bit!) ...FROM ALL OF OUR HEARTS... THANK YOU JUST DOESN'T SEEM TO SAY IT ALL
Speak again soon, Michelle, Chris, Lewis & Amy xxxx |

We'd like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Sarah, Pef & Karen who organised the whole evening and worked so hard all night serving everybody with food and alcohol, they didn't stop!
Great music was provided by 2 live bands 'Bishops Fynger' and 'The Substitutes' who got people up on the dance floor doing their thing ;-) Thank you to both bands for giving their tome to perform at the event!!!
And thank you to everyone for coming, because of you guys this event raised a FANTASTIC £1,057.60 for Amys Appeal
We really are so grateful to ALL our friends for their ongoing support and to strangers alike as we couldn't of done this without you.

Hello there everyone :-D
There is lots to say since the last update! We have had 2 more events since the last update. These were a clothes & accessories sale and our Kids Funday!
The clothes and accessorie sale was a good night and we raised £275 from kind people's old and new items which was great!
Yesterday we held our Kids Funday Fundraiser for Amy and we couldn't of asked for better weather;) It was such a worry leading upto it but someone listened and everything was fantastic!!!
Huge thanks goes to Mark and the crew of MGM Inflatables as they made it the day it was and have given us unbelievable support and contacts. Your amazing people and we can't thank you enough for all you've done!
Another huge thank you goes to the Round Table Association who donated a fab £500 to Amys appeal!!! And to Clive and Steve and others who also held a Darts activity tent. We really appreciate your support.

I am happy to say we raised a fabulous £520 profit!!!
Another thanks goes to a very generous gentleman who donated jewellrey to us, he doesn't want to be named. This raised an amazing £1,700 and we are ever so grateful for he's kindness.
And finally, we'd like to send a heartfelt thanks to my 'Nan & Grandad' who have donated to us before and have overwhelmed us by doing so again. They have donated £5000 in all and it's a long story but i've met them only once in my life so as you can understand it means very much to all of our family.

Hello all!
Wow, we have so much to say and so many people to thank once again!
First of all we'd like to let you know we are now at £20,000
Last Thurday the Leigh Constitutional Club held a Quiz Night for Amy and raised a brilliant £370! We had a funny and great night and a huge thanks goes to Lyn, Rob and Andy for arranging it and all who attended!!!
On Saturday just gone the Southend Firestation 'Green Watch' in Sutton Road held an Open Day and had firemen in the 'stocks' who had wet sponges thrown at them in order to raise funds for Amy!!! We are very grateful to those who took part and to all who attended and will inform you how much was raised once we know!
This week we received cheques to the value of £845 from generous companys and the public. We can't thank them enough and think this was in response to our BBC Radio Essex interview.
We have so many more people to thank I can't remember!
Well, back to school everyone! Amy returns tomorrow though she keeps saying to me 'Go home' before she's even started! Should be fun getting her off in the morning!
Take care everyone and THANK YOU ALL! Xx |
Hello all,
Unfortunately we had some bad news regarding this event.
It has sadly been cancelled.
This was an opportunity to raise more awareness and funds for Amys Appeal
It is also devasting for the organisers of the event as it was a sellout and looked to be a fantastic weekend for all the family.

On the 9th August we attended the First Stem Cell Awareness Day in the UK which took place in Manchester at the Thistle Hotel and was arranged by Darren & Wilma parents of Dakota Clarke.
This was an opportunity to meet other families, those who have been to China and those who are in the same position as ourselves fundraising - and to ask professionals and members of the Beike Company questions and learn more about the journey we are about to go on...
We would like to thank the Clarke Family for all their support and efforts, we are all aware now because of you guys and are so grateful to you for opening our eyes and helping us find 'HOPE'
